THE VISION

321 North has a well-considered mix of business, residential and lifestyle components: office, retail and residential, plus the benefits of a full-service hotel. The completed project in Plantation, Florida, will keep local residents spending in the city and encourage people in central Broward County to come for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Companies operating at 321 North will employ people in office, retail, restaurant, residential and other sectors and provide strong support to the local economy.

The innovative design calls for redesigning the interior of the former Fashion Mall and reorienting the stores and restaurants toward North University Drive. This will make the three main levels more visually accessible. Pick-up and drop-off plazas and classic urban gathering spaces will be combined to create a vibrant and convenient lifestyle environment.

321 North will be constructed in five phases, many of which overlap. The master plan calls for an estimated:

  • 500,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space
  • 160,000 square feet of office space
  • 590 condominium-style residential units
  • 264 hotel guest rooms and 5,700 square feet of hotel meeting space
  • 5,000 parking spaces

TIMELINE

321 North is projected to be completed by the end of 2017. Here is the current construction schedule:

First "Stage" of the redevelopment plan puts back into service an existing 7-story office building which is currently under renovation.
