US CAPITAL HOLDINGS GROUP CEO WEI CHEN ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE GREATER PLANTATION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

PLANTATION, FL (November 13, 2008)--Mr. Wei Chen, president and CEO of US Capital Holdings Group, an international private equity investor based in Plantation and developer of the $800 million mixed-use community, 321 North, has been elected to the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Mr. Chen was nominated by the membership and accepted by the current executive board and board of directors. He will serve a three-year term commencing on December 12, 2008 and will be sworn in by Mayor Rae Carole Armstrong on January 14, 2009.

         A recognized business leader in his native China, Chen has been active in the Plantation community since founding US Capital Holdings Group in 2004.  He has sponsored multiple charity organizations and local events including Kids in Distress; the City of Plantation 4th of July Parade; the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce's "Wine, Spirits, Jazz & Taste of Plantation"; the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce "Swing Easy" Golf Tournament; Plantation Junior Woman's Club "Art in the Park"; Green Day; and Excellerate Broward Leadership Council, formed to promote Broward County as a place to do business. 

 This appointment solidifies my commitment to the Plantation community and further demonstrates US Capitals long-term interest in the growth and sustainability of the city, said Chen, who also serves as an honorary chairman for the China-U.S. Chamber of Commerce based in New York and an Advisor to the Dean for Sino-American Exchange at Nova Southeastern University.  321 North is a project US Capital Holdings Group believes will provide tremendous economic and social benefit to the city and my involvement in the Chamber will enable me to link our interests with those of the citizens and businesses of Plantation.
