EDAW NAMED LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT FOR 321 NORTH

PLANTATION, FL (September 4, 2007) - US Capital Holdings, LLC has commissioned EDAW, an AECOM company, as landscape architect for 321 North, the $1 billion mixed-use project that includes the redevelopment of the Plantation Fashion Mall. EDAW, consistently ranked among the world's leading landscape design firms, is working closely with ADD Inc, the national award-winning architecture firm brought on to conceptualize and implement the plan to redevelop and reposition the mall into a vibrant and compelling destination.

Founded in 1939 and headquartered in San Francisco, EDAW now has 32 offices around the globe offering landscape architecture, urban design and revitalization, community planning and ecological and environmental sciences among its superlative services. Notable national projects include The National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C., Universal Studios Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando and notable local projects include the One Miami Riverwalk and Canyon Ranch Living, Miami Beach. In January 2006, the EDAW Consortium was awarded the design of Olympic Park for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Other top-flight names on board 321 North include Transwestern for the commercial component; ID & Design International, an award-winning, full service retail design consultant firm; and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., one of the nation's most comprehensive and best respected engineering and land planning firms.

321 North will be adestination that brings people together in an urban environment while celebrating the natural beauty of our Florida landscape. 321 North will be located on a 35-acre site near the northwest intersection of Broward Boulevard and University Drive in Plantation. It will incorporate residential, office, shopping, dining and entertainment components and is an integral part of the City's Master Plan to build an urban town center, called Plantation Midtown. Centered around a new pedestrian and vehicular main street to be known as Plantation Avenue that will traverse the property and connect Broward Boulevard and American Expressway, 321 North will boast an array of exciting shops and restaurants, courtyards and public spaces, featuring lush landscaping and fountains.

An environmentally-friendly development, 321 North was recently accepted into the LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot program, a program created by the U.S. Green Building Council, the Congress for the New Urbanism and Natural Resources Defense Council to evaluate developments in their entirety. The pilot program recognizes projects that incorporate smart growth, new urbanism, and green design principles. As a participant, 321 North can work towards future LEED certification for Neighborhood Development. In addition, the developers plan to pursue LEED certification for both the office and residential project components of their mixed-use development.
